Dance Performance “El Korsi” Meets Projection Mappping

A live performance by the dance crew Natural Mystic featuring a projection mapping for the International Day of Democracy, 15 September 2017.

El Korsi is a contemporary dance performance built around the Arabic symbol of “the chair” — a metaphor for power and authority. Using choreography and large-scale projection mapping, the piece portrays the struggle to hold onto power, as the chair shifts between authority and revolution through movement and light.

Simultaneously, A 3D miniature city projection was looping at the auditorium. Watch here the parallel show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaHDbPP5VJM
